We came into today.
Obviously it's only been one day of free agency and Lakers are completely silent.
Right.
But in general, free agency was pretty silent.
And we talked about this being the new CBA, the extension of players that are already been able to talk to their own team and sign.
And then also just the extensions that players have signed over the last two or three years that, uh, Basically, they've taken them off the free agency market, so there wasn't really any big free agent people.
But we got some big news.
Not only we got one piece of news, but it came in a damn flurry.
It
was a big
flurry.
He was a restricted free agent, so he had to make the decision whether or not to sign him to the offer sheet in Utah would match or likely do some sort of trade.
And the Lakers chose the trade because they figured they needed to get him locked in.
However, they gave up two first rounds, Eric, and two pick swaps.
And now the Lakers are left with, what is it? No draft picks, essentially, that they can trade for the next seven years? for at least the seven years of picks.
How do you feel about, let's first talk about Walker, right? How do you feel about that signing? Cause we got to get into the signing, but then how do you feel about the trade on top of that?

I mean, I guess I'll let me, I guess first touch on the full free agency thing.
So I think for the longest there, we were so accustomed to bam, free agency starts.
And all of a sudden we start getting all these alerts of people being signed, but I think the NBA kind of caught onto that.
And obviously the, There was a little bit of tampering.
And so by letter of the law, if you're starting for agency, how are you all automatically in agreement with guys, right? They
made sure this year to be like, nope, nope, not going to do anything for at least an hour.
