I get obviously with Joel Embiid the availability concerns.

But you know what? Tyrese Maxey and Jaylen Brown play a shit ton.

And they will, they are both good enough on their own to carry this offense, and they're gonna have both of them more nights than they don't.

If living in Arizona has taught us everything, it's to be wary of super teams.

But the depth is what sets Philadelphia apart for me.

Joel Embiid was my number 22 player, continuing with the theme of Philadelphia 76ers.

My number 21 player is his duo, Tyrese Maxey.

A lot of people debate who the best player on Philly was last season.

It kind of felt like when Embiid was there, it was still Embiid's team.

it's a really weird thing to think about because then you also have the issue, like I talked about, everything is kind of a double-edged sword and that's what makes it so interesting to dive into basketball theory.

With Embiid, it was him getting worse actually maybe helped him at times in the playoffs because he wasn't putting himself in tough spots.

Tyrese Maxey, if you take the ball out of his hands... he's at his best as a scorer and he's a more dynamic offensive player.

However, that then limits his ability to suppress turnovers, which is one of his biggest superpowers, because how are you going to suppress turnovers? If you're not handling the ball 80 times a game, that's kind of one of his biggest qualities.
