What do you get out of Joel Embiid being on the overpaid team? True, false, accurate? What do you say?

You know what, to be honest with you, I think it's to be determined.

are you willing and able to take damaged goods? Somebody who's injured, somebody who's older, somebody who has a contract that doesn't really fit into the structure of whatever their team is building.

Joel Embiid is a really obvious one.

Zion is one that I think could make some sense.

If you really want to go to the higher end, how bad would things have to be in Orlando for where like Paolo Bancaro would become available.

On the younger side is about to have a contract situation like Denny Avia, or I guess in that sense, Jalen Duren, if he is available next year, where they could just theoretically max out those guys.

I think more realistically, if they're just trying to stay relevant, they could probably get more of an older aging vet on a really bad contract.

You mentioned Joel Embiid.

I would throw in Devin Booker in that category.

Have you drafted any of Joel Embiid so far this year?

No, I have not.

I'm trying to find different ones, and I keep going back to the same ones.

But what I find intriguing about Kelly Oubre Jr. is how does he fit in defensively with this team versus previous teams that he's been on, right? Because you've got a legit big – I mean, I get Joel Embiid is a good big, but, like, he's regressed from the health standpoint, things like that.

So, you know, how does he look with a big like Zu who is a – former All-NBA defensive guy.

You've got two wings in Neesmith and Nembhard who are terrific, proven defenders in playoff situations.

They drafted LeBaron Filon, who I loved as a prospect with the 22nd overall pick.

And so for a team that has a $216.2 million cap total, salary cap total, their hard cap first apron, starting five, Tyrese Maxey, Vijay Edgecombe, Jalen Brown, LeBron James, Joel Embiid, Matthew, this feels like a super team.

If living in Arizona has taught us everything, it's to be wary of super teams.

But the depth is what sets Philadelphia apart for me.

And now you've got LeBron who's going to handle the ball too.

I mean...

It's one of those things I'm worried about with those three, but not as much as like the Joel Embiid thing.

I'm not a big fan of kind of moving on with him to be your starting center just because I feel like it's going to be such a fucking headache all year long with that guy where he's in and out of the lineup.

You'll get on that.

I don't know why Joel Embiid is ringing in my ear right now.

Because I feel like Joel Embiid shot a lot of shots.

And missed a lot of shots too.

Because he shot a lot of mid-range and jump shots.

That's what I'm thinking about.

Since the merger, and then we go into that space where we start to move further away from the basket and the long ball line.

Is Joel Embiid on this list?

Like you said, you've got Brown and Maxie.

You've got LeBron and Embiid.

Those are multiple different duos you can have.

You can have Brown and Embiid.

You can have Maxie and LeBron.

I think Brown and Maxie, I think Philly also, I think I have them as a team ahead of Toronto in my rankings when we give them next week in terms of actually slotting them in where they land in the Eastern Conference.

They switched it up, and just ever since then, everybody was elevated.

It was insane, and everybody thought, oh, well, Joel Embiid is going to stop

Jalen Brunson, and then they proceeded not to.

The Spurs or Wimbayana or Stefan Castle or that champagne moron kid who kept trying to fight with everybody on the team.
