This is probably the hardest pill to swallow for most people, so we might as well get it out of the way.

In other words, everyone receives immortality, and that we have some sort of separate soul that is conscious after we die and floats around somewhere or goes to Abraham's bosom or heaven or hell or purgatory or whatever else.

The Bible rather teaches that our soul is integrated into our body because we are supernatural living souls.

Okay, so when you believe that Mary is in heaven floating around and sitting at the right hand of Jesus, that is not what Mary herself would have believed about her own outcome when she died.

But nevertheless, the people who wrote the Bible and the people who lived in biblical times, like Mary, were Jews.

They believed in the resurrection, and they hoped in a new creation, in a renewed world.

Everyone else who were pagans believed in the mystery religion principles of the devil that had been passed down from the Garden of Eden, uh, one of which was that man is basically self-determining and unconditionally immortal.

And in my book, I discuss how these two things go together, the notion that you can choose free of influence and the notion that you live forever apart from God unconditionally.
