Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.

He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.

Brothers and sisters, let me take an example from everyday life.

Just as no one can set aside or add to a human covenant that has been duly established, so it is in this case.

I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness.

I will take hold of your hand.

I will keep you and make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.

I am the Lord, that is my name.

It's, it's already written.

Every human being in the world, Jews, Gentiles, and even animals, it's all written who's gonna finish the year until next Rosh Hashanah and who's not, and how the life's gonna be.

What's the decision was made based on? Based on the previous year and other years.

Mainly the last year, but also other years before.

You understand? So in the end, if you're smart, you know how to take advantage on that mechanism.

By, by Jews and by Gentiles, not just by Jews.

For instance, the Egyptians, how did Hashem bury them? In the Red Sea.

So what is the context? Well, in verse 19, he starts talking about his ministry, right? and he has a ministry to two groups of people.

Sometimes he ministers to his fellow Jews, but for the most part, he ministers to Gentiles.

Now you say, Andrew, why is that important? Well, we're about to see, because what he's saying is, I do whatever it takes to accommodate the Jews, and I do whatever it takes to accommodate the Gentiles so that I can win everybody.

I want to win anybody and everybody to Christ.

Now watch this as we read the context.

He's trying to win people.

Now, as we keep going in verse 21, it says, "...to those who are without the law, as without the law, though not being without the law of God, but under the law of Christ." Now, that helps us understand law and grace a bit.

He's saying, you know, when I talk to the Gentiles, I certainly don't lug Moses out.

For it is written, cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.

Before the coming of this faith, we were held in custody under the law, locked up until the faith that was to come would be revealed.

So the law was our guardian until Christ came that we might be justified by faith.

He became a curse and at the same time dissolved the curse." He deliberately put himself in harm's way for you and me.

You are justified through what Jesus, the servant of the Lord, did on the cross for you by becoming a curse for you.

God's promise was originally given to Abraham and his seed.

For whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, so as to live for the rest of the time in the flesh, no longer for human passions, but for the will of God.

for the time that is past suffices for doing what the Gentiles want to do, living in sensuality, passions, drunkenness, orgies, drinking parties, and lawless idolatry.

With respect to this, they are surprised when you do not join them in the same flood of debauchery, and they malign you.

But they will give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.

which thou hast prepared before

the face of all peoples,

to be a light to lighten the Gentiles and to be the glory of thy people Israel.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the holy ghost as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be

Official action will speak more eloquently than 10,000 denial.

In asking the Gentiles of America to oppose the Gentiles of the Nazi Party in Germany, Jews are not seeking anything that is unreasonable.

On the other hand, when the Gentiles of America ask the Jews in this country to oppose the Jews in Russia, in Spain and elsewhere, who are supporting communism to our detriment and to the detriment of the Christians living abroad, we are asking nothing unreasonable.

Oh, there comes a time in the life of every individual as well as in the life of every nation when righteousness and justice must take precedence over the bonds of race and blood.

Tolerance then becomes a heinous vice when it tolerates the theology of atheism, the patriotism of internationalism, and the justice of religious persecution.

Whenever we gather, we always have a great time in the Lord, and I learn a lot, and I I'm going to learn something today that we're going to talk about right off the bat.

So this is, uh, this is, I think, real relevant, especially with the group that you have here, Bill, and, uh, at least two Jews and a Gentile where we have people that are very familiar with, uh, really, uh, Jewish missions and reaching Jewish people.

And, uh, and so something that's occurred lately, um, kind of with the growth of, uh, of a desire or really anti-Semitic kind of, uh, desires or in things that people want to have less Jewishness and Jewish things involved with their Christian faith.

And they will condemn him to death and deliver him over to the Gentiles.

And they will mock him and spit on him and flog him and kill him.

and after three days he will rise.

But to sit at my right hand or at my left is not mine to grant, but it is for those for whom it has been prepared.

And when the ten heard it, they began to be indignant at James and John.

And Jesus called them to him and said to them, You know that those who are considered rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.

But it shall not be so among you.
