And that brings us to the question that has probably generated the most speculation about this feast.

Does the Feast of Trumpets predict the timing of Christ's return? When it comes to eschatology and views on the end times, and I've mentioned this before, I certainly have my opinions, but I always try to be careful not to be too dogmatic on the topic.

I mean, I see in the New Testament how often Christ's own disciples completely misunderstood the prophecies.

So I'm certainly not going to claim that I've got the inside scoop on what God's going to do in the future.

And on top of that, the New Testament just doesn't divide Christ's return into two separate events, one to remove believers and another years later for judgment.

No, it teaches one glorious return of Jesus associated with the resurrection and the gathering of his people and the judgment and the renewal of creation.

And let's get back to this popular idea that the spring feasts have already been fulfilled and the fall feasts are still awaiting their fulfillment in the end times.

And look, I get the biblical instinct to want to make that connection.

End times prophecy, end times anything to do with the 11th hour and 59th minute that we're in is what we're talking about this week with Dr. Nathan Jones, Director of Internet Outreach Evangelist for Lion and the Lamb Ministries.

Nathan, where have you been all my life? How

are you doing? I am doing great.

You've been digging into the Word of God longer than me, all over the place for two and a half decades here.

A lot of people are really fired up.

And honestly, this topic is probably the first time I've done the End Times Prophecy topic over the Feast of Trumpets five years in a row where I'm a little bit nervous in recording you today because part of me is thinking, man, reflection time here.

Am I doing exactly what God's calling me to do? How much time do we have left? There's too many people that don't have the word of God, that don't believe in the Lord, that are being massively deceived.

Well, indeed, Jerusalem was burned up in 70 AD, and they had been without a homeland for 1,900 years, 1,800, 1,900 years, until, of course, 1948, when we see the rebirth of national Israel.

But it's not in belief, right? This is not the end times kingdom and nation state of Israel.

That won't happen until Christ returns, and they cry out in belief, and he regathers them in belief again.

But you can see the obvious parallels here to what Jesus was facing, especially at this 11th hour when they were literally about to crucify him.

Then he will come with power and great glory.

Then he's going to send his angels with the great sound of a trumpet and they're going to gather together his elect, that's Israel, and regather them into the land in fulfillment of Deuteronomy 5.

30, verse 3, and Isaiah 27, 13, and many other Old Testament passages that talk about the great end times regathering of Israel in belief.

Then he shifts into, you know, application.
