Mediatrix

Uh, it's this beautiful, uh, and mysterious thing that, uh, th- the Heavenly Father will not allow graces to be forced upon us, so much does He value our free will.

So here we have the Mother of God, the Mediatrix of all graces, the Queen of Peace, kind of begging us to pray the rosary so that she can save us, so she can intercede for the graces from the heart of Jesus into our hearts for not only salvation, but also for, for sanctification.

Uh, and not just for us, for the whole world.

This, this rosary call from the Queen of Peace is not just about personal holiness.

As we invoke the Mother of Christ, we emphasize her key role in the mission of Christ the Mediator, Savior, and King.

By praising her as Queen and Mediatrix, we exalt in the Lord's kingship over all creation.

The initial phrases of the Litany suggest her attributes in broad strokes, and the rest develop and expound upon these.

The Virgin, our Mother, is the Holy Mother of God.

And guess what? Because of that, the Order of the Malta fought at the Battle of Lepanto and, of course, defeated the Ottoman Turks and their bloodthirst craze to conquer Christianity in Europe.

So let's pray to the Blessed Virgin Mary for all of our needs because she is the Mediatrix of all graces and knows everything.

On November 4, 2025, the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, headed by Victor Cardinal Fernandez, published a note entitled Mater Populi Fidelis.

The note discusses the traditional titles Co-Redemptrix and Mediatrix of Our Lady and concludes that they should be avoided.

This document has provoked strong reaction from faithful Catholics, and in particular, a detailed response from the International Marian Association Theological Commission.

In this article, I will simply show that these titles are supported by the Church's tradition and magisterium, which have a much greater weight than this, quote, note.

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.

Like, nope, it's all on Mary.

Mary is the Mediatrix of all graces for a reason.

It's God's design.

It's not Mary's design.

In St. Francis, God set a very high standard of perfection, which he confirmed with the stigmata of the seraphic father.

And, taking one last note from St. Francis, he entrusted his order to the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mediatrix of all graces.

So let us ask her to help us make good use of all the gifts that God has given us, our spiritual Franciscan spirituality, these opportunities of the liturgy and of the liturgical calendar, this novena, to enter in more deeply into conversion and particularly to seek the virtues of humility in the wisdom of God.

That wonderful title of hers.

And if this is done, she will convert Russia.
