On this episode Ryan and Clark chat about: The Padres series win v. TOR to end the first half, A season defining 15 game stretch to start the second half, what would it take for the Padres to be…
Ryan CohenHost
We'll get into the schedule, we'll get into what's coming up, we'll get into what they need to do at the deadline.

I'm still not 100% if they should buy or sell, but those last two games changed my vibe, the way I feel as a fan, significantly.

[laughs] And of course, that can all come tumbling down once they play again tomorrow.
Yeah, I think, as Jolly points out, as you pointed out, the upcoming 15 games, which atten- essentially takes you right up to the MLB trade deadline, is going to give you an exact picture of what they are going to do.
And on one hand, that is scary, 'cause it puts a lot of pressure on 15 games, but at the other time, it's a kind of an exciting, cool opportunity, 'cause if you play your cards right, I don't know if they can go again, s- buy, buy fully as they have in years past, because of, we've talked about the capital that is available to move around.
But I do think it puts them in a better position to go out there and say, "Hey, we can make moves.
We can still go for this season." I think starting with this series, Kansas City's a good litmus test.
I think Kansas City is a beatable team, who if you are going to be serious about making a push in October or giving fans the belief, or giving AJ the green light, an idea of trying to go in and buy more, this is a series you do need to take care of.
Again, it's a team San Diego over the last number of years has had plenty of success against, more namely at home.
But they haven't been playing great ball over the last couple weeks after that really red hot start to the season.
What are your sort of expectations early for those first two series right out of the gate?

The Royals are a team that came into this year hoping to make the playoffs on a fringe wild card contender.

Vinny Pasquantino hasn't had the season he wanted, and outside of Bobby Witt Jr., there's no one in that lineup that's terrifying me.
