Dylan, thank you, man.

He says, Preller's awful at trading for starters at the deadline.

Clevenger, Hill, Cortez, Ray, Mize, et cetera.

Martin Perez was the best starter he's traded for.

But I feel like this is just the classic well, maybe he builds out, but that's probably not happening anytime soon.

And if the Padres hear that, they're like, AJ Preller's like, "Whatever, I'll go find a guy." Um, and it's funny because I think that with the type of big trades the Padres make, when they give up their prospects, it's these ones that take a while.

It's, they actually don't have as crazy of a hit rate as I think some people, uh, build it out to be.

I still think that the, the Blake Snell trade looks insane, uh, today when you look at it [laughs] what they were able to do with that with a Cy Young pitcher.

Um, but overall, we'll see what kind of happens here.

I think it's just as simple as this guy isn't helping us within the next two years.

The Padres are like, "Whatever," and AJ Preller is like, "I can find someone." And in fairness, he has been right a decent amount of times.

Yeah.

But number three, which is the biggest reason I can't be mad at Craig Stammen, is because he's a rookie manager, and I can't expect too much from a guy like that, a guy who doesn't have managing experience.

If you wanna be mad at someone about Craig Stammen, it's gotta be A.J. Preller.

If you wanna be mad at someone with the offense, sure, you can bring up that it has never been, or at least it's, it's better now, but in the first half, it had never been worse than it was under Craig Stammen and Steve Souza Jr. if you wanna bring in the batting coach.

But on some level, the guy's gotta hit.

He is not as frustrating a player to have on the team as Eric Hosmer was for a litany of other reasons that aren't just baseball related.

But it is probably the worst contract that Preller has ever given out, and it is probably the worst contract in baseball bar frigging none.

I would say I think that that was kind of one of those where it came up that this was... a cultural thing that went back to AJ Preller when he was kind of the primary international guy and yeah, and all this stuff.

And so, so it somehow just disappeared nice and easy when, because AJ Preller at the time was everybody's favorite young GM who is, you know, making all these fancy moves and yeah.

And yet, you know, John Capuolo was pissing people off, and so they screwed the Braves over on the same weekend.

But, yeah, and then, of course, you know, to go with another Asian signee, another Korean signee, Hyung-Sung Lee, on your other list, he's now with the Marlins.
