We all know Tommy John's surgery and They could have desperately used him this past year.

Cause those are the shoes that he had to replace.

And Tyler Heinemann put off all year in 2025. but you talked about did the Toronto Blue Jays know about Brandon Valenzuela the trade like obviously they knew who he was but were they expecting this this is what the trade was like they traded Brandon Valenzuela for Will Wagner you think that the Padres thought that Will Wagner was going to be or Brandon Valenzuela was going to be what he was now and they're just like so high on Will Wagner like okay we're okay with just eating that trade no absolutely not Brandon Valenzuela shocked the Toronto Blue Jays and we are very spoiled as Toronto Blue Jays fans I bring this up all the time is that throughout the last few seasons, like we have been blessed with prospects, especially from the catcher position.

Will Brick now could be another one of those guys.

You have Alejandro Kirk, you have Gabriel Moreno.

Like you go back, Danny Jansen, you go back even farther, there's Russell Martin.

Like there's a bunch of different guys in the Toronto Blue Jays organization in the last 10 years that have been phenomenal from the catcher position.

And now you trade Will Wagner for a guy that's just all of a sudden nominated for a gold glove the following season.

Like that is absolutely phenomenal from the Toronto Blue Jays front office, from the Toronto Blue Jays scouting department to identify the talent in Brandon Valenzuela because the numbers were absolutely ridiculous.

I'm, I'm usually pretty cynical about young guys coming up, and, and just because of the experiences that the Blue Jays have had, not just the last couple years, but for a while.

But even recently, you know, Will Wagner comes up, really lit the world on fire.

Sure, yeah, yeah.

And, and, and not, don't want to take anything away from his first year, was really, really good.
