Well, first of all, if you go just to the teachings of the Bible, 1 Thessalonians 4, Paul makes it very clear that the rapture of the church is real.

But then if you go to the writings of the early church fathers, there were definitely a group of early church fathers who said the church is going to be removed before wrath is poured out.
