Week 2 of the college football season is in the books, and we’re breaking down all the action. We start with the massive Texas–Ohio State showdown, discussing the biggest moments, what stood out from…
I
mean, obviously...
We've talked about it amongst ourselves freaking every day since, but it really felt like in the first half, I mean, they were not beating us.
We were, like, beating ourselves, right? Offense couldn't stay on the field.
I told y'all during the game, which this ended up being wrong, but if we could keep it, if we could not let it get to three scores, we had a chance.
we did get down three scores and scored 21 unanswered in the fourth quarter.
But, um, I don't know.
It felt like they were never dominating us.
Uh, It's still crazy to me how Arch can be like two different players at times.
Like one where he looks like a true freshman, never starting his first game, and another where, holy shit, this is the best quarterback in the country.
Yeah, I think that in the first half, obviously the first two possessions, it just – At the time, it's frustrating, especially when Relique first fumbled, first played a game.
But then you kind of watch the replay back, think about it, kind of unlucky.
And both of them were.
And then, honestly, the defense had a good stand by holding them to a field goal when they're already starting that far into our territory after the fumble.
And then the next drive, I think we started out with, like, gashed him on a run with Smothers.
Like, I don't remember if it didn't get a first down, I don't think.
But it was like over five yards, and you're like, okay, now we're into the game, let's go.
And then take a shot to Cam, and then it's like the most unfortunate.
Number one, whether people want to say it was a good throw or a bad throw, Cam stumbled if you watch the replay.
I think if he doesn't kind of stumble – right before the ball gets there, he might catch it in stride and score.
And then for him to land on that ball and then – Bro, it's – It'd pop out straight to the guy.
And I'm sure anybody listening, and I know we have, like you look at the still shots of like basically how open he was to when he caught the ball, how far that dude was away from him, and then for it to just pop up right into that guy's hands is pretty – The
odds of that being an interception, like, are so low.
And obviously, we get the worst result out of that.
I was gonna...
