Week 1 of college football is in the books, and we’re breaking down all the biggest games, surprises, standout performances, and takeaways from the opening weekend. Then we turn the page to Week 2…
Yeah, which, that kind of brings me to a point, I mean, if you run down the, you know, top 25 playing in week one, you know, Everybody just kind of played – most people played scrubs and handled business, right? Ohio State played Ball State, handled business.
First one I do want to get y'all's thoughts on, Oregon and Boise.
Oregon ends up – They were down most of the game, I felt like.
And then they tied up and then scored a touchdown, a long touchdown.
I think it was De'Corey Morris' touchdown.
They gained the win, but that was pretty shocking to me.
What about to y'all? Dylan?
Yeah, I thought Boise State was going to hang in there just it being early in the year like that.
But, I mean, when you go look at the total yards, they were pretty lopsided.
Oregon 500 yards versus Boise 274.
But it's kind of funny.
I think Pilney's is what killed Oregon in this game.
They had 10 Pilney's, so...
That seems to be the one thing that sticks out for me where they allowed Boise State to string back into the game because Boise's third down conversion wasn't all that great.
Oregon also was 0-3 on fourth downs as well.
To me, I felt like they were shooting themselves in the foot and allowed Boise State to hang around, but I mean, hats off to Boise for staying in there.
I mean, passing was super lopsided.
400 yards versus 181, and then rushing was 120 versus 90.
I mean, Boise averaged two yards a carry.
So, I mean...
I just think it was one of these games when you kind of take a deeper look at it.
I don't feel close in the game, but I kind of feel like Oregon had control of the game, if that makes any sense.
And it's definitely hard to tell when – I think that was when we were playing.
