**Not everything called healing actually heals.** In this episode of *The Orthodox Health Podcast*, Dr. Michael Christian & John are joined by Christian trauma therapist, Anastasia Gerali, The Reborn…
Anastasia GeraliGuestMichael ChristianHostJohnHostI'm your co-host, John.
And today we're asking the question that the internet may not necessarily want us to ask.
What if feeling healed and actually being healed are not the same thing?
Because last week with Rob Cerrico, we were talking about yoga, Eastern spirituality, mantras, martial arts, and the way that people try to separate bodily practices from the spiritual worlds that form them.
And today's conversation is, in many ways, the natural continuation of that.
Because once you realize that not every spiritual practice is neutral, you also have to ask whether every practice labeled healing is actually healing.
modern people tend to treat the word healing like a magic stamp of approval.
It's called trauma healing.
must be good.
If it's called nervous system regulation, it must be good.
If it's called embodiment, somatic work, shadow work, inner child work, subconscious healing, it goes on and on.
People assume that it must be compassionate and therefore safe,
And this is where today's guest is so important because Anastasia Jirali, known online as the reborn Anastasia, is not just commenting on this world from the outside.
She knows the language, the promises, and knows why wounded people are drawn to it and knows what it costs to leave it behind.
Which of course matters because people usually do not enter the new age because they woke up one morning and decided to become occultists.
A lot of them are in pain.
