The first, like, taste of mainstream success I had was probably, like, I don't...

I forget the year.

Maybe it was, like...

It was r- after the pan- maybe '23 or '22.

Either way, it was my first theater tour, and during that I got a Netflix special.

Like, I, I was told I could do it.

I also, uh, because I wanted to act, I wrote an indie movie, and we were shooting the movie.

So in that year, I did a theater tour, shot my first Netflix special, second special overall, did an indie movie, we shot season one of Tires, and I started Stavy's World that year.

And that, which is all great stuff, right? But that theater tour came out of nowhere.

I've been a club comic my whole life.

Yeah.

I've always liked working clubs.

I just never thought I'd be a theater act.

That all was happening in a way, I think it was all the crowd work clips.

It was like that was going so crazy that it was bringing, like, a whole new audience of people who didn't know me from anything else.

I wasn't prepared for that.

I wasn't prepared for that workload.

[laughs] I wasn't prepared to do that many things, and I had no guardrails back then.

And it was also, like, off the pandemic a little bit.

It was like leave your house and just go get fucked up, do all the fun stuff you haven't been able to do, and it was just bad timing.

It was like you're handed everything.

It was, like, both celebratory and stressful, which is the perfect, like...

It's a perfect storm to just be a complete, just get s- just completely give into your vices.

And so yeah, that, that year was like I was just taking so much.

I was just, like, eating like shit, getting high.
