Cam Heyward Dives Into The Steelers Training Camp | Not Just Football

I'm doing good.

Uh, before I get to, uh, how I'm, how I'm doing, uh, I wanna make sure I mention that we've got a couple big weeks coming up, including some of your favorite Steelers are gonna be coming on the pod.

Uh, so please stay tuned.

Uh, today it's just me and Hayden breaking down what's going on.

But when I talk about what's going on with me, uh, it's more just adjusting, uh, I think.

Mm.

And a lot of our players who have been here, uh, it's a completely different staff.

It's not good or bad, it's just, you know, it's different.

And, um-

Mm

... you know, only thing that's the same is this w- these white walls.

So [laughs] we are just embracing that.

Uh, it's still the same because St. Vincent is a place where a, a team can bond and grow and, uh, we're just kind of having an open mind.

Um, you know, you can't expect it to be exactly the same.

Um, but when you get on the football field, football is still the same.

Yeah.

It's obviously gonna be much different from you.

This is, what, year 16 for you, right?

Yes, yes.

So it's, you know, you've had 15 training camps and you knew what to expect for probably 13, 14 or 13 of them, right?

Mm-hmm.

And, uh, and this is obviously gonna be different.

Um, the biggest difference for me, and I wanna know your opinion on this as a guy who's obviously hit for the last 15 years, uh, no tackling.

I was kind of surprised to hear that because you guys are always traditionally one of the more physical camps.

Mm-hmm.
