Michael Pittman

Aaron Rodgers didn't play.

Metcalf, Pittman, who's coming into a – at least with D.K. Metcalf, at least he played all last season with Aaron Rodgers in this team.

You know, Michael Pittman Jr. is coming in.

It's a brand-new team for him, and he had a couple nice catches on Sunday.

At least he could catch the ball.

as far as trying to create necessarily the big pass or that 50-50 ball, just trying to throw it up.

Against a guy like that, you got to be precise.

You know, the one thing DK and they have, Pittman have, is size that you can run some quick slants, get that body in front of him.

No.

But I thought that Pittman showed up.

We finally had a Roman Wilson sighting.

And hopefully they can build something off of that.

Yeah, yeah.

You know, sporadic last week that it was hard to find any rhythm in which to do that.

While we're talking about situational ball, like no huddle and stuff like that, did you notice – Michael Pittman Jr., on the last drive of the game, reached that ball out of bounds.

Did you notice that in real time?

But if there's ever going to be a week that Steelers need those two to really be on their game, it's this week.

Because if Gonzalez does shadow DK Metcalf, Michael Pittman and Roman Wilson got to step up for sure.

And while we're kind of talking about keys to the game, Brinson sloppy seconds my favorite screen name right there says what do you think the problem is with the run blocking seems crazy we can go from pretty solid last year to non existent this season, when it's pretty much the same units.

They were talking about it on NFL Today.

I think Michael Pittman and DK Metcalf are two fine receivers.

I do.

But you lose Calvin Austin, and Calvin Austin doesn't sound like one of those – name-popping players.

He's not any sort of pro ball player, but he brings something different that the Steelers had in that receiver room last year, and that was speed.

I feel like DK Metcalf and Michael Pittman, both really physical receivers, great at the catch point, but I feel like they lack the ability to create consistent separation.

And so them kind of living and dying by Aaron Rodgers throwing the needle or threading the needle at 42 years old is not necessarily a recipe for success, in my opinion.

But I think if the Patriots hold up in the trenches, obviously that's a cliche saying is the game is one of the trenches, but it's true.

Just now, yeah.

You know what I mean? They got Pittman coming in.

So the investment they made into the wide receiver room and with the personality – of the coach and the quarterback, you know they're going to throw the ball.

So it's not like we're going to get a ton of rushing attempts.

So what do you think they're going to do?

if we're seeing second and eights off of our run game, I'm going to pass the ball on first.

I'm going to make it second and four by hitting a curl to DK or a quick out to Michael Pittman.

Yeah, run game alternative, some rhythm passes, slant game, some screen game.

Um, I don't think there was anything else, uh, on there.

Oh, well, I guess Michael Pittman jr.

With a foot thing.

Did that happen in game? Do we know? Do we, I don't remember.

The parentheses and so forth get attached to whoever it is that he comes into contact with.

Also limited today were Michael Pittman with a foot issue and Joey Porter.

Again, and they can start putting this in parentheses, ramp up.

We'll see how that goes.

I do think, and if there's a way, and I don't think Mike McCarthy is necessarily trying to do this, but I think when Metcalf was at his best in Seattle, he had Tyler Lockett next to him.

And I don't think they're exactly the same type of receiver, but I think they're similar enough where I think that's where Michael Pittman Jr. comes in.

Pittman can be DK's next version of Tyler Lockett.
