And predictably, Democratic candidates across the country took that personally.

Four of them, Representative Kristen McDonald Rivet of Michigan, Senator John Ossoff of Georgia, Sherrod Brown, who is running for a Senate seat in Ohio, and Roy Cooper, who is running for a Senate seat in North Carolina, all joined forces to file suit challenging the new guidance.

These Democratic challengers sought expedited review at the Fourth Circuit, which they received and where they prevailed.

The government, with the National Republican Congressional Committee and the National Republican Senatorial Committee as interveners, decided to go to Daddy SCOTUS to ask SCOTUS to please stay the Fourth Circuit's ruling.

On the one hand, we have the whole fiscal situation that is unsustainable, um, a- and on the other, we have the cultural situation, right? And I think Abdul really represents that in, in Michigan, right? Uh, a- and not just him, it's just w- we have a new class of politicians who do not like the United States, which is really paradoxical, right? Because if you're gonna run for office in a country, you're kind of supposed to like it, right, to love it.

It's funny you bring that up because Vex, like, liter- like, George Gwozdecky was one of the first people we've had on our podcast.

You know, for people that don't know Gwoz, he was the University of Denver's head coach for a long time, won a couple national championships there, and one of the first stories that he told was about Rod Brind'Amour and how he was an assistant coach for Michigan State at the time.

This was, you know, years and years ago.

And Rod Brind'Amour was playing at, uh, Notre Dame Academy, uh, which is a prep school out in Wilcox, Saskatchewan.
