Hard Knocks

I still just think now he's kind of shaded.

I mean, he was at Seahawks camp with Hard Knocks.

I think he does stuff with Marshawn Lynch and Mike Robb and some of those

guys.

You know, being naive is great.

You know, Jerry said that on one of the openers to a Hard Knocks, one of the Hard Knock episodes, and I thought it was amazing.

You know, sometimes it's great being naive.

And I was a little naive, you know, just growing up, thinking that I could do this and I could do that.

A little bit of a different approach.

Obviously, Hard Knocks has kind of reflected a light on his coaching style.

for such a young guy to be so sort of compartmentalized and just sort of have this even keel about him, I think is really fascinating.

And I hope it sticks.

yeah and i think that's part of being a coach right you know we talk about like dan or you know the same thing with mike mcdonald that he knows his players really well and he knows you know And, you know, I feel like they spend a lot of time together.

We saw that on Hard Knocks that he was in there in Mike's, you know, office.

And, you know, he was on the little scooter thing.

And, yeah, I think he's one of his favorites, first of all.

I just, I think Mike is such a unique guy.

I thought Hard Knocks was a great window into it.

We've had hours and hours of conversations together.

Special dude.

Good little conversation piece.

But for me, I would look at it like, we've picked kind of three players there what kind of positions do you think would be best and it's hard because everybody always says oh a rugby player and like you'd go and it would be good etc and all that but what kind of what sporting skill do we have in Scotland that we do that really translate to to the NFL and what and and if anything is there do you think any Scottish sports stars would survive like a hard knocks training camp can you imagine that

I think you should say it about the great man.

Like you said, Mikey, earlier on, they've got plenty of weapons ahead, and Mariota knows the league very, very well.

He's not somebody that's going to get you a Super Bowl, but he has somebody that's going to go in, hopefully be able to do a job.

We've seen him on Hard Knocks.

The guy's such a likeable guy.

Yeah.

The reason for that is because after I got back from the States, I started watching Hard Knocks, like the HBO training camp show.

And the first season of that I watched featured the Bucs.

And it was when Jameis Winston was playing for the Bucs.

It does have that feel to it.

And I feel like I'm going to actually learn about these players because I can't tell you how little I've watched the Saints in the past four or five years.

You know, since who was that guy? He was in our favorite Hard Knocks homie, Jamal.

Oh, Williams.

Then they go to the backup, Tyson Bagent, who they like.

They gave him a lot of money as a backup quarterback, and famously when the Bears were on Hard Knocks, what, two seasons ago, he was kind of this undrafted guy who became a really good backup player.
