But then Shams Charania came back a few minutes later with more context around the trade, which said that New York traded number 25 pick Sergio de la Rea to the Mavericks for Koa Pete, who the Mavericks selected at number 30 and two second round picks.

The Knicks then traded Koa Pete to the Suns for three second rounders and cash.

So in that process, the Knicks got five second rounders.

I'm not sure if the Mavericks were the ones sending seconds, or I guess the Suns sent seconds.

I don't know.

Anyways, the Knicks got five second-round picks, the Suns got Koepit, and the Mavericks got Sergio de Larea.

So that's who the Mavericks walked away with in the first round of tonight's draft.

Moraes Johnson at number nine out of Michigan, and obviously the Mavericks hired Dusty May yesterday as their head coach.
