Are you getting what I'm saying? Right now, Jamal Murray is taking less threes per game than Klay Thompson and Lori Markin and Dante DiVincenzo.

Jamal Murray needs to be around Tyrese Maxey as a three-point shooter.

He needs to be taking 8.6 threes a game next year, if not 8.8, because the way that you get into averaging 27, 28 points per game is by taking way more threes.

He hasn't come off the bench since then, but he was basically a starter about 20-some games into his rookie season, but...

It was interesting because I remember having a conversation with Espo about like, when did you guys realize that you had something with Devin Booker? We knew who Devin Booker was, but I think coming into the league, and I remember following the game, people thought, oh yeah, he's gonna be like an advanced Klay Thompson or a different kind of Klay Thompson.

He's a shooter, he came off the bench at Kentucky.

But nobody thought that he was going to be able to do that.

And then you can create more given some of the other players who are going to be on a player option in that next year.

Bobby Portis, Klay Thompson, Drew Smith is also going to have a team option.

Myron Gardner's offer is non-guaranteed.

So you can, you know, if creating more space is kind of the route you want to take, that's definitely something you can kind of look into there, at least with these four players pairing them up kind of with what this Larson extension also kind of looks like.

But once you get to that three-point line, that is not Larson's game.

So I think that's personally one reason why it's very likely he's being kept out of the starting lineup right now.

I personally think, and a lot of the talk I've been seeing surrounding them is suggesting that Miami would most likely rather plug in a player that has much better outside scoring ability like a Klay Thompson or a Tim Hardaway Jr., plugging one of those guys, probably Klay, into the starting lineup for spacing purposes, and then having a guy like Larson who can't really help in terms of the spacing issues be that can of whoop-ass that you bring in as the first guy off the bench.

I feel like if he was a more efficient player in the starting lineup, but, well, I'm sorry.

So $15 million a year for a guy who's that, you know, fringe starting point guard kind of player probably is actually going to play some heavy minutes for this Miami Heat team because they do need some stronger guard play.

outside of Tim Hardaway Jr. and Klay Thompson, who are good shooters, but outside of that, not premier defenders by any means, definitely not at the point of attack, and two guys that offensively do not necessarily create off the dribble very well.

Tim Hardaway Jr. probably a little bit better than Klay Thompson, but nonetheless, neither very great at individual creation.

Pele Larson, again, $15 million per season on average annually.

for a guy who's, you know, really proven, you know, over the last two years that he can be a pretty solid defender, really got to show some of that last season.
