Brayden Burries

They lost with him his two brothers, Alex and Thanasis, and Bobby Portis and Torian Prince are gone.

And then they drafted Nate Ament and Brayden Burries.

They got Tyler Hero, Jaime Jaquez, and Claude Ware back in the Giannis deal, and then also have Karis LeVert now.

Oh, Yaka Jonas as well.

I think the hope is, like...

Maybe Rollins continues to be good, and maybe Brayden Burries is just a massive hit, and he can turn into, like, a Devin Booker-type player, which is kind of like he's profiled as, like, maybe a smaller Devin Booker.

And maybe Ware gets really good.

Maybe he does.

I don't know what guards are going to prioritize.

What I do know is that the Bucks made Braden Burries their first pick in the draft.

They also picked Nate Ahmed later, but Braden Burries was the guy that targeted first.

I would assume that means they think that he can at least be part of their next great team.

And so if Burries is getting starter minutes right away, again, I don't know if it's going to happen.

You got Tyler Hero there.

You got Ryan Rollins there.

You have other names there.

Nope.

Burries will come up.

Gary Trent might come up for forward.

Nope.

Well, the question that we asked in our, in our survey that we sent out to all of you was, "Who would you have taken at pick number nine?" And the answer came up, uh, I was a l- actually a little surprised because usually after a team makes a pick, then the fans, like, start to get on board with that, and like, "Oh, yeah, that, that was the right one.

That, that was the right one." But there still is, if you look at this, 48.6% of you, like, listening, like listening to this show, think that Braedon Burries would have been the right pick at nine.

Morris Johnson Jr. 41 and a half percent on that one, and then there's still a percentage, you know, about, about 11% between the Jaxson Lindenberg or other category.

So there's, what, a, you know, almost a 60% think that the Mavs made the wrong pick at pick nine.

And for still a majority and, and a lot of you to think that it's not the right pick, I found really, really interesting.

And I know it's a question the way it was posed, like, who would you have taken at pick number nine? Maybe, maybe they, ch- maybe you changed your mind at a certain point.

Maybe you would have taken Braedon Burries at the time, but now you're like, "Oh, okay, I, I think I see the reasoning for Morris, and I see why you would pick, you know, Morris at, at this point." And maybe that, maybe that's what she, what she did.

But I do think there is a lot of Mavs fans that think the Mavs got the pick wrong.

He has Braden Burries as a rookie, Nate Ament.

I don't know what kind of impact they'll bring, but I think Taylor Jenkins will have the trust in those young guys.

He has a little bit deeper rotations, not so much like the last few years with Doc Rivers and the other head coaches we've had.

You know, this backcourt room on the Bucs is pretty loaded.

We have Ryan Rollins, Tyler Hero, Kevin Porter Jr., Braden Burries, who I mentioned, Kaspers Jakoconis, a lot of guard play there.

So trying to figure out the long-term guy out of that group, it's pretty tricky.
