Keaton Wagler

They are a team that was already going to be in some rebuilding hell before they lost those five picks, much less where they are now.

So there is some speculation, and I think very reasonable speculation, that other than, like, Keaton Wagler and maybe Darius Garland

GarlandCome December 15th, when basically their entire roster becomes trade eligible and the rest of the league, uh, can start doing more business, if you're somebody on the Clippers, there's a non-0% chance you could get moved for either young players or draft assets because those are things the Clippers are going to need moving forward-

Yeah

Jaxson Lendeberg plus 1500.

Plus 4000 for Keaton Wagler.

Braden Buries plus 7500.

Kingston Flemings plus 10,000.

Um, Illinois is the other team here that, uh, from a roster retention perspective did everything right.

You know, basically they're losing Keaton Wagler, but other than that, they've got all of their European guys back, Mirkovic, both the Visic brothers, Stojakovic is back, um, and some new talent as well.

Like, their, their floor is also super high.

And I've been a big believer in this, in this Duke squad.

But still a good show, I think.

I know that much.

We started this thing about three weeks ago.

It has been integral to what we do here now on Clipper's Talk.

In fact, I'm putting out a bounty on if anybody can find the Keaton Wagler first pitch video or if there's a reason we're only seeing pictures and we're not seeing where the pitch landed or not with Wagler.

Is there a Keaton Wagler gate going on? Are they purposely covering something up? Did he not have a great first pitch? Does it really matter? No.

And not only do we fall flat on our face, SGA becomes a champion and becomes arguably the best player in the NBA, who we had.

And right when it looks like, hey, we traded James Harden for a younger point guard, we traded Evita Zubats for two unprotected firsts, one of which landed us the fifth pick in this year's stacked draft class, and now we ended up getting Keaton Wagler.

And...

You add the Kawhi traded in the mix, which was finalized on Monday.

But, I know I'm guilty of this, and I think a lot of people's initial reaction to seeing that penalty and seeing the amount of draft picks taken from the Clippers and the thought is, oh, the Clippers' future is screwed.

Where do they go from here? They've got nothing.

And then you think, wait a minute, they just drafted Keaton Wagler with the fifth overall pick.

They have Darius Garland, who is a... good young point guard with a lot of value, I think.

Kawhi was traded for Brandon Ingram, Grady Dick, and a couple of first-round picks.

They have Keaton Wagler.

They have Darius Garland.

What do the Clippers do organizationally and, like, team-building from here? How do they make this thing work for the next few seasons? Yeah.

Yeah, probably.

The only thing that I think is different about Merc in this spot versus a Wagler towards the end of the year last year is how does – murk's game like murk as he was as a player last year does that translate to the nba Like, there needs to be a little bit of a something-something that pops into it.

Sure.

And now coming off of a foot injury, I think that is what leaves that door cracked maybe a little bit more than somebody like a Keaton Wagler.

Yeah, and, you know, when we talked with Tosk earlier in the summer, and, you know, you're always looking for some of that content anytime you can get it, and the story, of course, was Merc's foot, but...

Kyle, I believe, was the one that we'd like to see.

You know, we have Garland, we have Ingram, we have Hachimura.

We have younger pieces like Keaton Wagler.

You know, you got Grady Dick now.

We got Max Struess.

They are banished.

Ingram, Garland, Wagler.
