Seg 1: Will the Russian Oil Flow? Seg 2: The Increasingly Surreal Ukraine Situation Seg 3: Diplomacy by Truth Social Seg 4: A Global Reorganization
Andrew MoranGuestWell, I think that the thing that caught everybody by surprise was, uh, following a telephone call with President Putin, uh, President Trump announced that w- [clears throat] the United States would, uh, buy 300,000 tons, uh, of, uh, of oil, and that that's about two and a quarter million barrels, and then increase that to 500,000 in November and a million after that.
And, uh, so, you know, coincidentally, uh, Ukraine is, uh, providing air attacks on refineries like nobody's business.
And so right at the point where they're being effective, President Trump decides to, to, uh, to buy oil.
And, uh, you know, he, he, he, he said that he was doing that in order to, uh, to help, uh, farmers and truckers and people in the energy, uh, business.
And, uh, but at the same time, you know, you have to realize that if, if you haven't, if you've forgotten that, uh, President Trump is America first, and he has not come off of that.
It is part of the national security strategy, and so you can anticipate seeing things like this, I think, in the future.

So this move is, it, uh, for at least from an economic standpoint, this move was, uh, was, ca- came out of nowhere.

But Russia is the f- second, world's second or third largest, uh, diesel exporter.

But, you know, the, well, I, I, I highly doubt this will provide any long-term relief.

The world itself uses between 20 and 25 million, maybe some estimates say 30 million barrels of diesel a day.

So this is just, this, this will provide you maybe a day or two, uh, if that, of relief.
