You all have heard a lot of what's going on in Venezuela.

You've seen, obviously, we went and captured Maduro.

We are working closely with the new government.

You've seen the transfer of oil from going to China to now going to the United States, how this has kind of like completely affected how the global economy is working right now when you factor in Iran and not moving oil out of Iran.

It's all been very interesting, but I think the one stark issue that we can't ignore is that there have been people on both sides of the Venezuela issue.

Like, they didn't like that Donald Trump went in and took out Maduro, and then there are people who lived there and still live there, and people who have experienced socialism in the United States who have said, "This is the most amazing chance for the Venezuelan people we've ever seen." And yet on the ground here in the United States, we have candidates who have been nominated to run for their party, the Democratic Party, right now that are socialists, openly socialists.

So I am so excited because today I have Daniel Di Martino here.

Over time, uh, this is, you know, something Trump's been increasingly frustrated with.

He thought the war would go by very quickly and be just like his operation in Venezuela with Maduro.

It has certainly not gone that path here.

And so now, just as they're seeing light at the end of the tunnel over at Hormuz, they got problems over there on the west coast of the Arabian Peninsula.

At the meantime of this voyage, he seemed to be losing his mind, or at least temporarily losing his reason.

On this third voyage, once he discovered Venezuela, another major accomplishment, but again, not China, he decided that he was sailing uphill, a- as he wrote about, which of course one can't do, and that he had discovered the entrance to Paradise.

And in case you were wondering, it was a little bit north of Venezuela.

So I don't think anybody else has ever found it since then.

Meanwhile, President Trump is now suggesting the US could stay in Iran and keep its oil if that makes economic sense.

He compared the idea to the US approach to Venezuela.

But yesterday, Trump also said he expects the war to end later this year, and that oil and gas prices will fall when it does.

There are diplomatic efforts underway to address global shipping concerns, but for now at least, there are no known direct talks between the US and Iran.

Cachao Lopez was born in 1918, Cuban bassist and composer who revolutionized Latin music by pioneering the mambo style and also popularizing Cuban descarga jam sessions.

Alberto Naranjo was born in 1941, renowned Venezuelan musician, drummer, and arranger who led the acclaimed salsa and Latin jazz orchestra El Trabuco Venezolano.

Dennis Baptiste was born in 1967, British jazz saxophonist and composer known for his live performances and contributions to the modern UK jazz scene.

On the K-pop front, you got Zico, real name Woo Zi Ho, who was born in 1992, very influential South Korean rapper, producer, leader of the boy band Block B, later ended up having a pretty successful solo career and now music executive.

What is the shift you're seeing? And embed that within the larger thesis that you guys have been developing over the last year and a half that makes sense of this latest piece, the Great Financial Reset has begun.

So like many people in the tech space, I'm an avid reader and follower of Carlota Perez, who's a British Venezuelan economist who wrote that book in 2002 called Technological Revolutions and Financial Capital that explains that technological revolutions happen approximately every 70 years by bringing about a new technology that provides the opportunity of reinventing how we produce, how we consume, how we work.

That's what she calls a new techno-economic paradigm.

And then there are certain nations that take advantage of that new technology to update or upgrade their social institutional framework, as she calls it, to be more in sync with the techno-economic paradigm made possible by the new technology of the day and reap the rewards of that.

And, and it's good to see like, oh my gosh, she's from Colombia.

She's from Venezuela.

She's from Guatemala.

She's from Mexico, from El Salvador.
