He's the original dad blogger, also a comedian, author, actor, YouTuber, DIYer... The list goes on! Taylor Calmus joins Leroy on the podcast straight from his bathtub because it was the quietest room…
Taylor CalmusGuestLeroyHostYeah, that, uh, it cracked me up.
There was our first ever story, not like that, but kind of, it was really early on Taylor.
Like one of our first sign videos we did, like right here in our hometown in Moose Jaw, uh, went to film in a library because they had a sign on the door that said no bikes in the library, like our public library.
So they're going to let us ride our bike through it.
But on the way there, there was a sign outside the park that said no parking on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. And we're like, that doesn't make any sense.
So we did a video on it.
And a week later, one of our city councillors calls me and she's like, hey, can you stop by my house? I'm like, sure.
I stopped over and she's like, so you put that video out.
And that night we had a town like a city planning meeting.
And we were all laughing at your video.
And then I said, Hey, why are those signs there? And nobody knew.
So the city took them all down and she handed me one.
I've got it hanging on my
Like 35,000 people.
okay

so so really really rural so like when growing up a town of 30 000 was a city you know but now having like lived in los angeles like 30 000 is tiny you know um super tiny but it's like big enough that there's some big enough to have a city council you know yeah yeah but small enough that they know where you live and they can swing by your house with some signs
you know Yeah.
So how far, like when you growing up, how far would you have been from like, I'm trying to put this in my head, like from like Mount Rushmore and South Dakota.
Yeah, that, uh, it cracked me up.
