I- I- it's, you know, if I look at what's happening in Alberta, and if I look at the co-op out there, UCA, if I look at the alliance with Thrive from California, the money going in, Saskatchewan, uh, Quebec, um, I, I, I've worked a little bit with that group so far, bringing startups from all over the world, not just from Quebec.

Um, interestingly, talk about AI, I spoke, I, I spoke in English and I also speak French.

So I speak, spoke in English, then I spoke in French, spoke in English, spoke in French to the audience.

Alberta took the first decisive step toward this framework in twenty nineteen when the general corporate income tax rate was reduced from twelve percent to eight percent.

As a result, Alberta's general corporate rate sits three and a half points below the next lowest provincial rates and four points below the rates in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.

All other provinces levy still higher rates.

How it would work.

S-I-S-C-A-T-C-H-A-W-O-N. Saskatchewan.

Triple O's has the great deal that I only knew about after the game, or else I probably would have got those tickets there.

But, like, it just seems to me that, like, I don't – and I know I'm not in the market or in any of the other CFL markets other than Saskatchewan, but it just seems to me like they really – are are kind of knocking out of the park when it comes to sponsors and and just for the two times i've been lucky enough to be in commonwealth uh this this season just happened to be like great crowds and an energetic atmosphere and it just it was so great like you you you look you know two three years ago on the games on tv and it just looks empty and it looks miserable and and of course you know the the losing was was part of that but now when they have a the team and they're like the best team in the league right now when it comes to my power ranking spoiler alert like it's it's just such a great thing to see for for edmonton and for just for the cfl in general

let's uh throw it to your power rankings now a new number one heading into week 16 and that is the double e the only team in the west that has clinched the playoff spot so far

Yeah, with how tight it is in the West, it might take a few more weeks before we see any more.

I move Montreal down to two.

BC goes up to three after getting that win over Montreal.

Saskatchewan drops to four after losing in Winnipeg.

Winnipeg stays the same at five, kind of the middle of the pack.

And he was kind of the canary in the coal mine when, you know, on ESPN for hockey in the States, kind of making sure that he was out in front of it.

Bigger than life, but a shout out to Barry Melrose and what he meant from Calvington, Saskatchewan, how he grew the game from where he grew up on the farm town of Calvington to Sorry to all the way to L.A. and everywhere else on the ESPN.

So a shout out to him.

It didn't matter.

It didn't matter where he went.

He kept that hair.

So he never left Saskatoon no matter what or Saskatchewan.

He was.

Games continue Friday and Saturday before the home run derby and championship game on Sunday.

Now, for the most part, we're going to focus on the players, coaches and others who call Alberta and Saskatchewan home or have connections here.

But for this first episode, I thought I'd bring you a trio of conversations I had before the event even started.

I've been working with Blue Jays on feature stories for their tournament program, which you'll be able to read up on our site soon, focusing on three young players who are ranked amongst the best in Canada heading into the next few drafts.

My background, Lorena, is that I grew up in Punnish High, Saskatchewan.

And so I was surrounded by four reserves.

And my introduction to reserves was quite different than what I know today.
