And yeah, just the Mets, the post-trade deadline Mets continue to be pretty fun to watch, though they play non-consequential baseball at this point.

They won both series that they played this week against two very different baseball teams.

Naturally, they did lose the Freddy Peralta revenge game in the middle game of that series, but they take two out of three.

And then by the skin of their teeth, they did also wind up taking two out of three against one of the worst teams in baseball, the San Francisco Giants at Citi Field.

I was at the game on Sunday, so fresh off of a little bit of sun, a couple of tall boy beverages, and a scintillating comeback victory that was super exciting to watch in person, the Mets in the final game of the series against the Giants.

pretty listless offensively, really didn't do much of anything the first six, seven innings of that game.

Some bad luck there because Mark Vientos, who is back in the major leagues, I know he hit two home runs this past week, but still very much Mark Vientos, where he boots a pretty routine double play ball, instead gets no outs, which leads to Christian Scott getting pulled.

But Christian Scott was awesome in the four and two-thirds that he did pitch in this game.

And then a bloop over the heads of Vientos and Simeon leads to the only two runs that the Giants would score in that game.

Jeffrey Yan hardly knew he goes back to AAA, unfortunately, after struggling on Saturday.
