And I think he realized even earlier that his future was in coaching.

And so he started with Stanford, then we did some AAA player coaching, and this is his final line as a player.

After 1973, five seasons, 261 games, a 272 average, 400 on base percentage, but zero home runs.

So Matt, now you normally say, so how about in retirement? But that's really the entirety of our episode here is going to be his quote unquote retirement because he's 28 years old when he starts at Stanford.
