Episode 991: Joe Mazzulla Doesn't Care For Your Vibes

Training camp is still happening.

Who would've thought when they gave us the schedule for training camp that they would still be having training camp? Um, no.

The, the latest to come out of training camp is this Joe quote which h- has been going viral on Twitter.

but it feels like it's going crazy.

Very, very viral.

Okay.

Um, was asked about the vibes [clears throat] at training camp.

Uh, vibes guy.

Like, like actually vibes? Did someone use the word vibes to Joe?

No, no, I don't think somebody used the word vibes.

But, um, generally speaking.

He said, "Every team you lead is the most together team right now, because we haven't traveled, no one's gotten benched, no one's been on a losing streak, no one's gotten blamed in the media, no one's had to go stand in the corner for 10 minutes and not get the ball.

So you learn those things as the season goes on, and you just learn how to work through those things together, and you can't simulate those.

It just comes with time.

And so right now I would still say 30 teams feel great about themselves, and we gotta wait till adversity hits.

And adversity is even a strong word.

There's nothing really adverse about playing in the NBA.

But we gotta wait until stuff doesn't go your way, and then you got to figure out who you are and how we're going to be at our best." Which I feel like, great quote, first and foremost.
