Minnesota Gophers beat the Michigan Wolverines 20-14 on Saturday to win the Little Brown Jug at home for the first time since 1977! It wasn't always pretty for the Minnesota Gophers, but fans should…
Judd ZulgadGuestRoss BrendelHostWell, how about that Judd Zulgad? Class is in session on a Saturday afternoon because for the first time since 1977, in the city of Minneapolis and the state of Minnesota, your Golden Gopher football team defeats the University of Michigan by a final score today of 20 to 14.
There might be things to nitpick about, but that will not be on today's show for the most part, Judd.
But as somebody who has been in this town for literal decades and dealt with heartbreak after heartbreak after heartbreak for Gopher football, how nice is it to have a joyous Saturday back to back weekends, my man?

The last time the Gophers beat Michigan here to win the Little Brown Jug, let's just put this in context, was, um, a 16-nothing win, October 22nd of 1977.

Um, that win came across the street, obviously, from Huntington Bank Stadium, uh, in Memorial Stadium, and the Gophers moved out of that stadium into the swanky new Metrodome 44 years a- ago.

He was born, I think it was in November of '80, and they won in October, so he was minus three.

But this team never beats Michigan at home, and that has not always been great Michigan teams, and I don't think that this is a great team by any means.

You know, I, I mean, I go back to the Halloween night Tracy Claeys game when the Gophers were on the doorstep and it looks like they're going to win.

And when Fleck didn't, uh, elected not to, uh, not to go for the two points to increase the lead to seven early in the fourth quarter, I thought, "It's gonna come back to bite him.

Uh, but the Gophers deserve a ton of credit, and quite frankly too, to your point, Roscoe, it's back to back impressive wins.
