What's your initial reaction to the story about WVU playing Purdue next year? What do you think of the Boilers coming back to Morgantown for the first time since 1996?

Well, I'm instantly flashback to that day in Morgantown when Mike Allstott ran all over West Virginia's defense.

It was 95.

Final score, 26-24.

WVU had 541 total yards of offense.

Purdue only had 368.

But Alstott rushed for 109 yards in that game.

That happens very rarely in college basketball these days where a guy goes off for that many.

Keaton Wagler, what did he do at Purdue last year? Something crazy, but I don't think.

And I'm like, why would Illinois have agreed to that? So I don't know what the paperwork was.

If you're Mizzou, you could be Notre Dame, drop Purdue for the record.

That canceled, and Purdue scheduled West Virginia on a home-and-home series.

So Notre Dame needed that opponent, and then I guess— But why would Missouri do this? Illinois

didn't have to raise their anger.

Sweden, Finland, the Czech Republic, Norway, Latvia, Denmark all came out with statements signing up for a boycott of games against Russia as long as the war continues when it comes to the Ice Hockey Federation World Championships.

Notre Dame replaces Purdue with a series against Illinois in 2027 and 2028.

Purdue announced Tuesday it was pausing its rivalry series against Notre Dame and adding a road game against West Virginia.

That doesn't make a lot of sense, but whatever, I guess.

Ohio State will stick with Luke Fahey at quarterback against Oregon, so that's interesting.

He also made a lot of plays.

I am hoping that the beatdown in P-Town will put us in a place to where we can rebound.

Unless these things get fixed, you might not win three more games.

And I mean that.

You probably aren't as excited about this.

Notre Dame has dumped Purdue for the next two years and is going to play Illinois.

I'm not sure if that's good for Illinois or not.

And they lost that game.

They were never able to establish the run.

You know, I guess if Purdue is looking at this situation, they're thinking, well, we're dropping Notre Dame and we're adding West Virginia.

Maybe that's a win the Boilers are thinking about picking up.

And conversely, you know, West Virginia's thinking, Well, haven't seen the Boilermakers since 1996 in Morgantown.

That could potentially be a Power 4 win for West Virginia next season.
