Minneapolis Public Schools has announced plans for potential school closures as many as 16 buildings could lose K-12 programming.

Our education reporter will lay out the district's plan to address budget issues and we'll hear from a parent in the district.

We'll check in with the city of Saint Paul on homeless and camping closures, police drones, the budget, and other issues in a conversation with City Council President Rebecca Naker.

To me, it seems a manufactured crisis that they're using in order to justify further abuses and restrictions on due process.

The Mankato Regional Airport is one of several airports across the country that's getting a financial boost from the Trump administration to fund its air traffic control tower project.

I would say we saw arrests start to climb last summer as the Trump administration started to ramp up enforcement.

And there was a little bit of a dip in the winter in January and February, both nationally and in Michigan, after an enforcement operation in Minneapolis resulted in some backlash.

So when two people were shot and killed after there was a big operation there, there The U.S. Department of Homeland Security kind of took its foot off the gas and reassessed what its strategy was going to be.

And so since then, instead of focusing on these really high profile raids and operations that we saw in major cities like Los Angeles, Chicago and Minneapolis, they've really just kind of ramped up street level enforcement.

So we're just seeing a lot more people getting arrested online.

Why are they more deserving than we are, the Somali pirates of Minneapolis, or these illegals staying in hotel rooms, in five-star hotel rooms in New York City, or Lindsay Clancy, who killed her own children? She's in a mental hospital.

She should be in a prison and not even including her security.

I'm going into sort of a set of affordable housing issues in part because we have this big affordable housing event coming up at Crain's next week.

And so one of the things I'm doing is looking at ways that other cities, other Midwestern cities are trying to accelerate the construction of affordable homes, places like Minneapolis, Rockford, Indianapolis.

What are they doing to get more housing built?

We definitely need that here.
