Help Meet, Not Help Yourself

So the good brother Driscoll has had some stuff to say.

Should we just dive in with.

Yeah.

You know, it was a clip from his from his YouTube show or whatever that that he himself clipped.

And he himself put out into the world.

This is something that he wants us to know he believes.

Right.

I'm happy to just read the transcript if that's okay with you.

Sure, sure.

And so I always, and this is Mark Driscoll now.

Yes.

We would very much like to distinguish ourselves from the beliefs that we are about to be speaking.

Yes.

So Mark Driscoll, quote, And so I always say, you know, it's no problem being married to a strong woman.

It's a big problem being married to an independent woman.

And there's a big difference between a woman who's independent and a woman who's strong.

A woman who's strong comes along and she strengthens You, an independent woman, she's fighting you and she's exhausting you.

And what most guys don't really consider is it says in 1 Corinthians 11, it says that the woman is the glory of the man.

So I always use this analogy that the woman is like a garden.

And the man is like a gardener.

And a lot of guys look at a married woman.

They're like, I wish I could find a girl like that.

That's like looking at a piece of land that nobody's, you know, ever worked on versus looking at a place where for 30 years a guy's been cultivating his

land.

And you look at the land and you're like, look at that beautiful property.
