Nerds rejoice, because we have a Star Wars/Marvel crossover comic book event, written by Kevin Smith, titled Star Wars/Marvel: Hope Assembles, coming soon! Rokimoto Chase Cases are showing up in…
episode I think we should start off to just talking about what we've been seeing with some mystery product in retail stores one no other than Rocky Moto now as our target exclusives the case chases I believe is what they're called and yeah I was there this weekend had their nice display but lo and behold they all were ripped open um like completely ripped open all completely ripped open all seen gave me vibes of when funko really tried to uh push soda to retail but i'm just curious like what your thought is on that is it preventable is it just part of the game like what do you think I
mean, they have to figure something out, obviously.
But it's just funny that you saw that because last week we spoke a little bit about kind of a similar, obviously with Target specifically too, when it came to like the Pokemon and like the ETBs and what they were doing and ripping the seals off.
But that was like for scalpers, right? But one thing that we said was like, if they were going to do that and keep the product on shelves...
what was going to keep people away from like opening this product and like, you know, things like that.
But like, this is an interesting one because I wonder if this is happening anywhere else.
I don't know if we've really seen too much.
I haven't popped into a target in a while, but yeah.
you like this something you saw yourself yeah and one this was a new because i think it's
like that new collector before
that you had seen that section when they first put them on right yeah i remember you sending it to me like oh look these these are and they were fine
you're right they were good so maybe it was just you know some yeah i just wanted some
assholes
going
through i don't
know
but i mean either way It's clearly a bigger problem because we've seen this before.
Like you said, we saw it with the sodas when Funko put out their non-numbered sodas and we knew that was going to be a problem where there was just such a massive amount of them.
and those did have some kind of saran wrap around them which these don't right they just have like the zipper tag correct these rip on the top yeah like normal you know pop mart mystery boxes exactly no plastic or
anything
so but it was crazy because you the one you specifically sent was like a lot of product and it was like all ripped and it made me think like who's even getting away with this where No
worker sees this person.
It was like an end cap too, right? End cap, like in that brand new shiny section that they have, which is crazy though.
So they're now PopMart products, a bunch of all the different mystery box companies, PopMart obviously being the biggest one, which is crazy that that's now in Target.
Yeah.
