Doctor Doom

Just spoiler alert.

Obviously he got paid a boatload to come out of death to become Dr. Doom for the new Avengers.

But back in the day, man.

Cash rules everything around me.

Two hours and 30 minutes-ish.

They could have cast another Doctor Doom, but they were like, oh, let's do Robert Downey Jr.

I'd also added to that, Robert Downey Jr. returning to...

this franchise feels like when an actor leaves the soap opera because they're going to go off and make it in Hollywood and then about two years later the character returns because the actor hasn't made it in Hollywood.

Same thing with Red Hulk.

Doctor Doom is an interesting choice.

Uh, I do like that he has that, uh, turn meter manipulation when he drops below 50% health, gets a lot of turn meter.

But, um, pretty...

It looks like

Doctor Doom almost.

Yeah.

And Spider-Man Doom suit.

But luckily, I was able to get two Zords out, and he

missed on a Mind Control with his Doctor Doom, so that was really good.

I almost killed his Rogue, but he was um, full pipe in there and then, uh, put the red symbiote onto rogue.

And yeah, it was,

So that's my favorite series, book one and four, ideally.

But book five is very much in this vein in that it borrows a lot from the real world and references and melts things together a la Harry Potter, Doctor Doom, Star Wars into one thing.

And at the time, I was like, I

It can absolutely, characters that are tough are almost always going to have some version of damage reduction effect.

in there, whether it be armor, physical body, Iron Man or Doctor Doom's armor, magical protection like Doctor Strange, that kind of thing.

So damage reduction is a very big thing that you need to be aware of because it's absolutely going to affect how long characters can stay in battles.

So again, just kind of a quick word on karma.

But worry not, true believers, for the world remains in steadfast hands.

While Spidey swings through the bustling streets of New York, confronting muggers and petty crooks, the greater menaces are being handled by none other than Yelena Belova, the new Avengers, the classic Avengers, assembling to fight Doctor Doom and cosmic marauders.

You know, the big potatoes.
