I think that's something that when I talk to Bible scholars like yourself, I'm always looking for the greater themes of...

Is there a certain thread that you see woven through the Old Testament into the New Testament that specifically points to Catholicism? Yeah, there are several.
big ones to me are the movement towards sacraments, right, from sacrifices of the old to the sacraments of the new.
That, you know, we could talk about, naturally, we are political, but I mean, the reality is we have to have authority structures.
You have to have a structure to be able to, you know, preach the Word of God with authority.
So, we have this community that God gathers together, for example, after the Exodus event.
And then you have the kingdom, this kind of transformed structure with a king and a high priest, et cetera.
And as we walk through this, I mean, it gets really interesting where you have the king.
right royal officers that are in you know feeding the the royal household and they're 12 represented the 12 tribes of israel and they have one prime minister figure and we see jesus doing something similar as a son of david he has he is the king and yet he appoints 12 royal officers the apostles and one among them becomes his prime minister representative Peter.
And we see that in several passages in the New Testament, especially in the Gospels, but also throughout the book of Acts.
And then, of course, the sacrifices, which are important in the old pointing forward to the new.
So when I often read the old and new in light of each other, what I see is Jesus is coming and he is transforming the Old Testament Jewish Israelite rituals into the new covenant sacraments.

When I became Catholic, that was something that really hit me, was to see the fulfillment of the Old Testament in that, even from a liturgical sense, when you look at that.
