And then looking back, like, Maybe the Rams are having a Super Bowl hangover season without winning the Super Bowl the previous year.

Right? Because when they won the Super Bowl after 2021, they were all in on the 2021 season.

And it kind of feels like at least some of those things are repeating themselves.

And maybe if you aren't having the devastating injuries outside of Miles Garrett, obviously, that's the massive injury that the Rams seem to be dealing with.

And I think what happened last year was Stafford, with how incredible he was in winning the MVP, masked the fact that the previous two seasons were just kind of okay by his standard.

And even if he is putting up great stats this season, it does it like throughout his career, it hasn't always translated to wins.

And so given Matt Stafford's playing again behind a lackluster offensive line and that the defense isn't nearly as good as we all thought it would be in large part because miles Garrett hasn't been available.

But I also think Chris Shula just might not be that good of a defensive coordinator because Um, and there was some weird stuff, right? Like the Rams lost their kicker and special teams had already been a disaster, but you lose your kicker in that game.

And, and you know, like that leads to weird stuff happening, but yeah, I'm kind of thinking that this is just not their year, in the same way that we've seen the Niners have just terrible seasons, that it's not necessarily a reflection on the strength of the operation.

Like 2024, it was like, yeah, the Niners were pretty bad in 2024, but it wasn't like, well, we can never see them getting to the playoffs again.

It was like, well, just get healthy, have some things go your way, you'll get back on track.

It feels like at least through October 18th with the Rams 2-4, that that's kind of where they're at meanwhile it's another sign on top of you know the Seahawks losing on Thursday that the Niners are in a massive lead in the NFC West presumably which will strengthen on Monday night if they handle business against the commanders they'll be 6-0 and three basically four games clear of everyone on the division because they already have the tiebreaker against the Seahawks
yeah man I am um I love the theory because the Rams very well could have won the Superbowl last year.
