And the workload was there in week one, 14 carries and a reception.

But then we get that story about Christian McCaffrey dealing with cramps.

Not exactly sure, but it's going to be some time, close to 10 weeks.

That was Kyle Shanahan, head coach of the San Francisco 49ers, talking about the very unfortunate injury to rookie wide receiver Dajon Stribling, who was just getting plus, plus, plus reviews across the board and went down in Australia with what looked like a very just strange and sudden ankle injury.

Everybody presumed it could have been his Achilles ACL.

As it turns out, it was bad enough.

He could tell you.

The bad news is out for, quote, close to 10 weeks, says Kyle Shanahan.

So really, I mean, this 49ers team is this mix of all this great talent and Super Bowl aspirations and all the great things that they have going for them mixed with just – This unbelievable storyline of injuries that just continues to haunt these guys.

Warner maybe had one of his great games, but I thought a lot of what Raheem did schematically messed with the Rams.

Well, Larry, sticking with the offensive line in the run game that we saw from the 49ers, Kyle Shanahan hit that magic number, 30 carries on the day, 174 total yards.

But it was Kalon Black that led the team in carries.

And, Larry, you've been talking more about Kalon Black throughout training camp and preseason than anybody else.

So they're maybe a little bit more rested and bouncing around.

So I think the 49ers get the win, but I think it's a workmanlike win, and I wouldn't want to give those points.

Larry, we got the news yesterday from Kyle Shanahan that Dajon Stripling has officially been placed on the IR.

He's going to miss the next 10 weeks.

I think growth, right? To me, the disappointing part of that 49ers loss was everybody knew X's and O's.

Shanahan on the other side, they're going to be outmatched as well as, you know, like The way that offense looked under Petullo, it was horrendous.

How many hitch routes can you freaking throw out there and run a basic scheme that everybody understands and everybody anticipates and can see before the play plays out where you're not running a bunch of motion? To me, more than anything else with this Eagles offense with Mannion is, hey, can we get into this part of the decade where you're running an offense that others are seeing and using and it's advanced? and not archaic.

That, to me, is success.

I think it's frustrating.

I mean, seven play callers for Jalen Hurts can be, I mean, for anybody can be super challenging.

I think the biggest question, and I've been very guilty of this, is what does Nick Sirianni do? what's his role? Is he the figurehead? When he plays the role of a figurehead, what does he do in the idea of are you going to be outcoached? Are you in a game where you have Shanahan on the other side? How are you going to handle that? And I think that's been our frustration as Eagles fans because when Howie's in charge of, you know, the – dc and the oc hirings it's a completely different team so what exactly are you the head coach of vibes nick sirianni well the vibes weren't good a couple years ago and the team all felt it the vibes weren't really that good last year so what are you exactly leading with this team more than anything else are you a figurehead while howie you know designs this team that's the frustration now this is from the outside The players really tell you, you know, they like Nick.

They like Nick's passion.

and again, I'm hard on the guy because, like I said, I don't feel like he's held accountable.

But I know no matter what, man, getting into a system like Shanahan, McVay, O'Connell, LaFleur, those guys, like not a lot of people are asking you to be on time in today's NFL.

So it is a transitional period, even if you – Like, even if you think these guys are world-class innovators, it's still a transitional period.

Same with Caleb Williams and Ben Johnson.

And the way that this offense is structured for the Ravens reminds me not how they, not schematically, but what they want to do is get your linebackers out of sorts.

Very similar to what we've seen for years with Kyle Shanahan and the Niners and to you know, a lesser to be with Sean McVay and the Rams is they just put your linebackers in stress positions where they don't know where the ball is.

They don't know where it's going.

And I'd be very interesting to know for Brandon Staley, like what is his potential game plan that he's going to have against the Ravens on Sunday?
