2026 College Football Predictions: Futures, CFP + National Champion

VR, I'm going to let you go first.

We're going to talk about the ACC.

Last year, I did a contest on Splash and we excluded the ACC.

We did that two again this year.

And I got a lot of criticism for it, but I said, no one, the ACC is just not that good of a conference top to bottom.

And I turned out to be correct.

They At very best, we're a run-of-the-mill type conference.

Do you expect a better couple of teams to come out of here this year? Do you think anything about Clemson, Florida State? Kind of break down this Power 4 conference for us.

Well, it's Miami and then everybody else.

But when one team's so heavily favored, you have to look elsewhere because you're going to get a ton of value when that's the case.

In all sports, again, when one team is so dominant as far as the betting market's concerned, you know, you got to find some value and teams like Louisville, SMU, the second tier teams is where you want to look.

Now, remember in NFL college football, you're talking about a small sample size of games that they play.

That's why teams outperform and underperform their metrics.

Unlike major league baseball.

When we look at major league baseball, there's 162 games.

The first place teams usually win about 55, 56, 57%.

Maybe two teams in all of baseball are going to win 60 plus games.

I mean, 60% of their games every year.

Why? Because there's parity in all major sports, but when you have a small sample size season, you just don't get that teams playing to what the data reflects.

And that's why, even though I may not have any team power rated to win more than, 10 and a half games.

Let's say someone is going to win 11 games.

Multiple teams are going to be 11 games.

There'll be a 12 game winner because teams outperform and underperform their metrics.

And more importantly, injuries.

Like when you're looking this far out, You want to find some teams that are going to give you equity.
