HR 2 | Can the Red Sox Win the Battle in the Bronx | KJ and Lyons | Saturday 9-26-26

Riders of the Storm.

That's what we're doing here in New England.

KJ Lyons brought to you by your New England Ford dealers.

Employee pricing for all you pay what the employees pay for the official vehicle of Major League Baseball and that dirty water.

And look, the water is murky right now, John, in terms of these injuries going in, plus the guys who are going to be coming back from sitting off of injuries.

Is this a concern going into this Yankee series?

Oh, totally, KJ.

And this was a series, KJ, and I'm going to say this right now.

If the Red Sox are fully healthy, I'd say they could – They'd win the series.

I would pick them to win the series.

These injuries, I still might pick them.

But it's a lot murkier now, especially to me, the Contreras and the Gasper injuries.

I think those could have a huge...

And Contreras is obvious, right? He's been their best offensive player all year long.

But KJ, did you know Mickey Gasper against Fastballs is hitting .301 this year? And what do you think the Yankees are going to throw all series long?

Well, yeah, but here's the other side of that is...

Great, all good things come to an end.

So we're expecting Mickey Gasper to just continue to do this through the playoffs like it's absolutely nothing.

I'm

not expecting him to be Ted Williams like he was in August, but I think he is one of their better fastball hitters.

And I think that, to me, that's the loss of it.

Could he get you one or two big hits in that short three-game series?

So here's why the injuries don't bother me as much, especially the newer ones, right? Contreras is going to play through it, right? Gasper, if you can get him back in a pinch-hitting role, at least you'd have him there for it.

I think that hopefully, it's an extreme hope.

That's a hope, hope, hope there.
