Ranger Suárez

It's personalities, it's veterans, it's youth.

There's a nice injection of all of it when you look at this roster right now, right? 'Cause Sonny Gray, Ranger Suárez, you know what they are in the rotation.

But then you have the emergence of Peyton Tully and Jake Bennett.

And he mentioned the bullpen is just out of this world with Chapman and Whitlock and Eric Miller on the back end.

You're three.

Sonny Dre, Ranger Suarez, right? Going to be going games one and two.

And then Peyton Tolley, I would imagine, would go game three.

So again, silver lining...

Two out of the three starters are left-handed.

Game one is probably Sonny Gray, and then you're likely looking at Ranger Suarez for game two, and then Peyton Tolley in game three.

Is Jones essentially giving the Yankees no choice but to start him in those games against the lefties? The alternative, of course, being Elliott Ramos, which I know our response, mine included at this point, I am, you start Spencer Jones no matter what, righty or lefty.

The Yankees brought in Ramos as a righty bat that hits lefty pitching.

We know what his ability to adjust has been.

At this point, it's clear.

At least going into Game 2, let's say it's Ranger Suarez in Game 2 after Sonny Gray Game 1.

We know Jones will start in center field against Gray.

Well, game two, I would lean Peyton Tolee there.

Um, I think a, a lot of it is going to depend do you lose game one or do you win game one? If you lose game one, I actually lean a little bit closer to the Ranger Suárez conversation.

He's got the postseason experience.

I believe it's a 148, uh, ERA in the postseason in his career, and he's had plenty of experience with the Phillies.

I mean, that game, if you can get a one-run lead into the seventh, I like the Red Sox coming away with the win.

Then, then you're in business.

And, you know, I still like Sonny Gray too, and then that way you have Ranger Suárez for a big spot that for him is, he has the experience for.

So I don't think there's a wrong answer.

I mean, that's like adding an ace at the deadline.

You know, their their rotation has been really good with Sonny Gray, Peyton Tolley, Ranger Suarez have all been good.

But that's another layer to this.

And I think it just raises their ceiling so much by having him if he's right.

If they do end up playing the Yankees, I would think that you would put Tully second.

I think that obviously he's more reliable, even though Suarez had a very good outing, his last outing.

I would put Tully second.

He's pitching better than...

Because I know that we've been talking about how in the past and how Suarez is this playoff monster.

You've got to go with what's happening now.

I hate when people do that and they judge them from the past.

Tully right now is a better pitcher.

If they do end up playing the Yankees, I would think that you would put Tully second.
