So did it really matter in the long run? No, but now they're 0-1, and where it matters is 0-2 leads to 0-3 and could be 0-4 on the table.

What I'm looking for this weekend is a big game plan from Josh McDaniels.

The Patriots, historically, their offenses, whoever's been the offensive coordinator, has struggled against Patrick Graham.

Patrick Graham is now the defensive coordinator of the Steelers.

Mike McCarthy, really great hire here.

He was with McCarthy in the past, I believe in Green Bay.

I'm curious how the Patriots and Josh McDaniels adjust.

Last week, I mean, they played a backup quarterback in Cooper Rush.

And so, yes, he does need to learn how to do this.

It is the bread and butter of what Josh McDaniels tends to like to do on offense.

And Drake clearly, as you've said, and he admitted it failed to be patient and failed to, you know, try and do that last week.

And so, yes, he does need to learn.

That is not going to work against the New England Patriots.

If you stack the box against the New England Patriots, Josh McDaniels and Drake May are going to make you pay over the top.

So I think the Patriots are going to have a little bit of success running the ball this week, even though Bijan didn't last week, because I don't think they're going to stack the box in the same manner because they can't stack the box.

At some point, we have to stop babying him.

Like I said, I mean, I made the post where like the percentages, I think it was 50% Josh McDaniels, 35, 30, I mean, 30, 35% Drake.

That last, I wasn't mad about the first two.

The first one, when he was targeting Dobbs, it looked like it was double coverage.

So the fact that it did it.

I'm going 80% Drake May, 20% play calling.

I actually commend Josh McDaniels.

Although it was idiotic, I commend his confidence in his quarterback to even put it in his hands because Drake May had a lot of bad throws that night.

And that's kind of what Drake does, and he's got to work that out of his game.

Outside of that, though, the book is out on the Patriots right now, and I have a lot of frustrations with Josh McDaniels, but also I want to say that I think McDaniels is going to have one of his arms tied a little bit because a vast majority of the trouble that Drake is having, starting from the second half of the Buffalo regular season game through the playoffs and through Super Bowl and, again, in this game, two out of the three picks he threw were against cover six.

And cover six is a light box, staggered safety look where half the field plays, half the side plays cover two, the other plays cover four.

It's hard to diagnose before which one's going to be cover two, which one's going to be cover four.

They lose to Cincinnati in the wild card round, but it was close.

And so you're thinking, all right, now they've gone out and got a new head coach, a guy that's a very sharp offensive mind in Josh McDaniels, even though not a good head coach, really good sharp offensive coordinator.

So, okay, he could be that guy.

Similar to what? You know, it happened this year with, you know, Clint Kubiak being a sharp offensive mind.

Going into the season, I'm like, this dude's going to rack up the numbers.

I have a feeling that Josh McDaniels is going to be very smart.

He's not going to make it one-dimensional where it's just A.J. Brown, A.J. Brown, A.J. Brown.

And I'm nervous about Romeo Dobbs now.

Texans was, yeah.

Yeah, it was boring, right? Yeah.

Someone's saying, stop piling on Josh McDaniels.

Yeah, it's true.

It's not about the quarterback as much loving Mack.

It's more about what is Josh McDaniels.

Does he love Mack? Because he's going to design a game plan that's going to be built around a certain receiver maybe being highlighted week to week, and I think he's going to highlight Romeo Dobbs.
