Pranay KotasthaneHostSo, you know, first of all, this quotes idea came to me because I do maintain a list of many of these quotes.
So on my Obsidian, I generally have many of these quotes or something which you find funny, etc.
Because I think it's a good idea to have some of these quotes on your fingertips.
It really was a light bulb moment for me because this is really trying to put confrontation and competition and distinguish between them, right? Because generally, you will see this idea used so often in public policy or politics that, you know, there is haves and have nots.
And it really puts against like, total zero sum game, there's no possibility of positive sum game, it's just two people fighting against each other.
Whereas when you look at it from this lens, that there are haves and there are want-to-haves, it really puts a different lens, right? That people aspire, even the want-to-haves want to have what the haves have.

I love this and I can tell why Shruti is smiling because she was applying that filter to this.

But one critical thing to note here is that it also depends on how much social mobility there is in a society.
