And we see this right at the very beginning of Scripture in Genesis chapter 2, which I will read.

It says, thus the heavens and the earth were finished and all the host of them.

On the seventh day, God finished his work that he had done and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done.

So right from the beginning, we have the most beautiful, fascinating account of God creating everything.

When I talk about this subject with any of my friends or people that we meet, and I find out that they don't take a day off throughout the week, that they are working seven days a week, I really like to gently remind them like, okay, we have the God of the universe, the most powerful, omnipotent being that exists, right? The most high, the holy of holies, all of his names, okay? And he himself needed a day of rest.

So who are we to think? Who are we to think that we don't? That's my challenge to you.

And then it's interesting to point out like the biblical day actually begins, according to scripture, the biblical day begins at sundown and it goes until sundown the next day.

Like when we think about how we start our days in the morning, but really what God says is you actually start your day in the evening.

And what normally happens in the evening? We normally sit together around the table for dinner.
