So for some of our listeners who don't know the origin story of Tower 28-

Yeah

... would you mind just going into it, ooh, a little bit, about the name, all the things?

Yeah, sure.

So Tower 28 is actually a real lifeguard tower.

It's at the intersection of Santa Monica and Venice.

I've lived on the West Side of LA for, ooh, a very long time, since, ever since college.

And really, the idea there was I wanted to make a brand that was safe for sensitive skin.

We like to say we're a safe space.

Mm-hmm.

Um, and I always thought of the beach as this place where everybody got to enjoy a clean and healthy lifestyle.

Mm.

And so you can go ...

The- Tower 28 is a real lifeguard tower, and that was really where I was going to meet my friends.

And the true story is I got a text one day from a friend who was like, "We're all going to the beach.

Meet me at Tower 28." And I was like, wait, is that it? Like, the beach is this place that you see every single kind of person, uh, age, uh, culture, demogra- you know, socioeconomics.

You see everybody.

But it's also, like, everybody, especially in LA, I think there's so much access to this clean and healthy lifestyle.

Yeah.

And I really wanted that sense of aspiration in the brand-

Mm-hmm

... where I just didn't see that kind of bottled and captured before.

Yeah.

Um, and specifically for someone like me, who's had eczema my entire adult life.

Mm-hmm.
