They all have ADHD, but you don't hear much about that, now do you? You know what else you don't hear about? Are the 43% of people with ADHD who are in excellent mental health.

Meanwhile, in the United States, Lisa Ling, Laura's sister, received an unexpected phone call at 2.30 in the morning.

In the middle of the night, while my husband and I were sleeping,

The husband of my sister called and said, Laura was kidnapped by North Korean soldiers.

All of a sudden, producers are reaching out to me, and they're saying, "Do you have any other stories? Do you have any other people that are like you?" And so I, I fell in, like, in this, this world of becoming, uh, a producer, and I didn't know that was a title.

[laughs] Um, so I started networking and like, "Hey, you know, you, you should hear this person's story." And I remember with CNN, Lisa Ling was like, "Hey, who else?" And I brought some other p- you know, people over to CNN.

And then it got me thinking, I really love helping people tell their story because of the power it gave me, you know? It helped-

But doing this stuff, and, uh- And really doing Hugh, like just going up to people and talking to people in all these different places.

I worked with a producer I brought with me, Mitch Koss, who was Anderson Cooper's first producer and Lisa Ling's at Channel One, and then was working at Current TV for a long time, another place where we were talking before we did the pod, Mariana Van Zeller, a dear friend of mine worked, and there was some amazing young people journalism going on, and Mitch was sort of shaping that and guiding it.

And when that, when Current closed, um, there was an opportunity for me to bring Mitch, and we just kinda went on the road and figured out how to take the stories that were politics adjacent about real people and tell them on MS.

And I carved out a lane that-
