There needs to be a re-enchanting of our faith when it comes down to the gospel.

Well, on a Sunday morning when a pastor stands up, the congregation should be ready to experience the grace of God into their soul by the proclamation of not educational teaching, not motivational messages, not TED Talks, not even expository preaching.

If I just explained to you the text and the text isn't leading you to the trust and faith in the object of Jesus Christ, Jesus says you've missed the point.

We get the Bible according to Jesus and make this entire point in this book that we have to reclaim the supernatural nature of grace that is dripping from all of Scripture.

And what I talk about there is, okay, if you've got that ritual and you've got something to remind you, especially if it's something you can do every day, like it's a certain time on the clock or something that you're doing, you're brushing your teeth and you make your wish, then you also are triggering parts of the brain in the neuro... neuroplasticity and the neurology of your brain to start triggering some other aspects that help you make your wish stronger.

A pastor who neglects the Word of God is neglecting one of his primary responsibilities— People need the Word of God.

They don't need TED Talks or motivational speeches.

They don't need personal opinions.

They don't need cultural commentary disguised as biblical teaching.

And that's basically the entire interaction.

You know, meanwhile, there's some of us who've turned a simple sales call into a TED Talk.

You know, we explain our process, we explain our equipment and our overhead and explain why our prices are different from the guy down the street.

We explain our insurance and our employees and the...

I feel like Courtney's a bigger dream.

Like, We'll be 10 or 15 of us.
