And it was interesting because, like, I think I had a post about it where it was, like, my teachers were mad about it, but my priest wasn't.

And like, instead of like making me like sort of apprehensive of Catholicism, it made me appreciate it more.

And like, you can like sort of interpret, you could easily obviously interpret and many do of like the, you know, sort of parallels between you know the Jesus story and like I don't know the you know like different like mystery cults of that era and stuff and like oh they just you know they just scammed it but like I think it's a lot more interesting to view it as like I don't know almost like the what is it the perennialism or whatever of like all of these different religions are like sort of interfacing and trying to like reveal like a sort of truth of the world.

And I think this is where the God is nude versus God is naked thing comes in because many of the atheistic or literalist interpretations of, you know, the concept of God is from a photographic or naked perspective.

Like they believe like, you know, an atheist is as literal about God as like a sort of like evangelical who's like, well, we got to like find Noah's ark is.

They just view it as like they're just coming at it from a different point of view.

And by the in like sort of the same way that in like art theory terminology, a nude is different from just a naked body because it is like rather than like a presentation.

And I think there's like, there's that, there's a sort of like middle ground between like pure atheism, materialism and like pure literalist faith or whatever of like this sort of God is nude idea where it's like, God exists the same way the God or the spiritual realm or whatever you want to call it exists sort of in the same way, like a painting of a naked woman is a naked woman, but it's not like it's not like a literal like one to one presentation of a naked woman if that makes sense.
That completely tracks with like how I've laid it out in the show and on other shows for sure because well, I'll let's move to little to the east.
So it's like I can speak of it like more directly with like direct knowledge.
simply because i don't know if you know this jacob i'm a tantric buddhist um i practice vajrayana i'm pretty traditional in that but i am expansive in my ideas of like magic and occultism all that stuff so um in in in tantric iconography you'll see nude especially the female dakinis sky wives quote unquote air quotes um they are always depicted as nude and so it's exactly hitting that secret third thing that you were talking about because in tantra we would call it the inner outer secret dialectic so there is an inner meaning an outer meaning and also a secret meaning so those are all supposed to be accessible to to the what we would call the upasaka or the practitioner from their level of practice so if they're like advanced practitioner and they look at the image even if they don't know the source text necessarily because there's many, many different practices.
So they should be able to understand at least the inner layer or at least the first layer of secret meaning.
So that's how we would consider it.
So I think that this also applies to a lot of the Rosicrucian sort of like Jesus at what we would call or Christ at different elements, like where he's pointing to his heart and like what that even means.
And I think that there are, multiple layers of meaning in that.
So that's one.
But to go to the nude question, I find that really interesting because when the female deities are depicted as nude, It actually references their post-conceptual and what we would say is post-Gunasic.
So their quality-less nature.
So it's kind of like how if you read Pico, Pico della Mirandola, or you can listen to my episode with Greg Kaminsky on that.
So that's also an option.
But, I mean, go read Pico.
That's probably better to do.
