I will say this, things have dramatically changed since you and I were kids.

Because nowadays, would I ever send my kids to public school? Absolutely not.

Look, I'm not going to defend California.

We're like 40th or something.

But the students in California do know what a pansexual is.

Should kids ever be allowed to be medically transitioned as minors?

If the family decides.

Oof,

that's

a bad one.

You guys lost seven billionaires in California that in the short term account for about $30 billion in taxpayer dollars.

You know, you've proposed that a 5% is 5% on billionaires.

If you're worth, you know, $300 billion, whatever Elon is, and you have to pay 5% so that people don't lose healthcare, I don't think that's the end of the world.

You

sort of are friendly to the idea of amnesty and giving citizenship to people who have come here illegally.

The federal policy is that if an undocumented immigrant shows up at a hospital, you have to treat them.

Do you think that that's

reasonable? I think that if you tie it to deporting them directly afterwards, that I could be amenable to it.

Should race ever be a factor in hiring?

Yes.

I mean, I'm for affirmative action.

Now, it shouldn't be quotas, but yes.

That's a bad one.

I view DEI as a search for talent and merit.

That's not DEI, though.

I mean, doing a talent search across all geography and having it be fair and taking the best people for no matter where that geography is, that's merit.

Gavin Newsom in a binary world, trust or distrust?

Look, he's my governor.

I have to trust him.

I think anybody could see the real answer there.
